Monsters, creepers, part human, part beast, neither dead nor alive... The high priests strived to create an army of animated puppets but instead gave birth to unspeakably deformed and uncontrollable mutants.

The nightmarish outcome of their experiments did not, however, baffle their grand aspirations. Absorbed in pursuing their long-run objective of re-creating the Gods, they would never let a few missteps put an end to their master plan.

The Gods did not intervene. It is, after all, in the nature of all creations to turn against their masters. Let them prove their worth, and then, if need be, the Gods will accept the challenge.
